Mechanicum Thallax Cohort

Just a quick & dirty shot I found on my camera..

I use these guys as spawn in my Iron Lords csm army.

All quiet on the eastern front..

So ive been pretty quiet lately.. not because ive not been painting, but because ive been painting too much!
(& not working which was the place where I normally found time to blog!)

I also went & got my first tattoo (see above)..

Anyway, I figured I should post a few pics up of what ive been doing..

I threw these bunch together for Cryx cup last weekend.. where I earnt the nice guy award for running CSM without any helldrakes.
A mix of repair, repaint & new models.. smashed them out in 3 days!

These guys will be my next major project:

I finally got some Infinity painted too!
This is the WIP stuff:

This is my first 150 point force:

I also managed to track down some particularly fine pieces to paint.. Real collectors items!
But im going to sit on them for a little while.. sorry to tease!

Ive order a pile of bases from secret weapon for a project that will happen a bit later in the year.. but since I know thier stuff is great, I figured I ought to do a little review for those who arent so sure!

Lastly, Im working on a little side project ive been keeping in the wings until yesterday.. my true scale space wolves!
I found the last part I needed yesterday & its now in the mail!
Expect these guys to be happening soon!

First mini of '13

So I randomly got excited & painted up this chappy:

I think '13 will be a good year for hobby.
I have bought almost all the models I plan on needing for the next year (or maybe more!), including two new full sized armies, two small allied detachments, some exciting display pieces & the largest Golden Demon project ive ever started.. stay tuned!

Fished cultist pics

So, as promised, here some pics of the finished cultists!
Didnt both taking shots of all of them.. I figure heres 20.. the other 40 look pretty similar..

Some random single shots:

Because we all know a cultist couldn't hit the broadside of a baneblade with an autogun.. This guy took two - to double his chances!

& some money shots of the boss..

& this is where they all hang out

Still got a few pics up my sleeve, but ill hang onto them for a while after this barrage of pics!

Up to my neck in Nurgle!

Honestly.. I really havent been dead.. just up to my neck in Nurgle!

And heres the pics for proof!

Golden demon '12 entries: pt2

Now that the dust has settled after the usual mad rush to complete all my entries for this year.. Golden Demon has been & gone.
The rule changes didnt work in my favour, but more specifically, there was some incredible entries on display this year! (that translates to I didnt even make it to the finals this year :( )

Anyway, it was all very hectic in the lead up (hence the lack of posting) & I(read as: my fiancée) decided that I needed a break afterwards.
So I jumped on a plane to go sleep off the stress on a tropical island beach, in Fiji!

But enough of that.. I should get around to the point of the post: the pics of my entries for GD!

As always, the little things that cost me in the comp are glaringly obvious now that ive reviewed the models with objective eyes (& eyes that arent sore from long work hours followed by long painting hours!).
But these are the thing you learn from..

So, thats my attempt for a demon in GD '12.. the result wasnt exactly satisfying, but I feel invigorated & ready to push even harder for next year.
So much so, that Ive already started planning next years entries..

Nurgle reinforcements have arrived! Obliterators done!

Alright.. ive been putting this off because im kind of sick of looking at these guys (after an epic paint-a-thon)..

But here they are, in all their nasty glory:
